How painful is the dental implant procedure

All of this drilling and screwing sounds painful, but the fact is that placing an implant is easier than taking a tooth out. Usually a local anesthesia is applied; hence you shouldn’t feel any pain during the surgery. Pain will be depends on the bone and neighboring pain-sensing nerves.

In certain cases sedative options are also available to make you comfortable during the operation.
A few days after the surgery you may feel some discomfort in the chin, cheeks, or underneath the eyes. Also cause some pain at the implant site, and minor bleeding.  Pain killers will be recommended.
Icepack can help you to reduce the swelling and soft foods are recommended for up to 2 weeks.
