Major Steps In Root Canal Treatment


Step 1: 
Initial step is to applying a local anesthesia to the patient. Since, this is a painful procedure, it requires some anesthesia.
Step 2: 
When the tooth is insensible, the dentist will place a “Dental Dam”, for providing a covering over the area to separate the tooth from the saliva that might come in contact with the tooth during the process.
Step 3: 
The dentist will makes an opening in the crown of the tooth. The pulp is cleansed with the help of small instruments, taking care not to break these Instruments. With the help of some small instruments, dentist will clean the tooth pulp with proper care.
Step 4: 
Then fills the root canals with a rubber-like material, Gutta-Percha, which is a bio-compatible material that helps to seal off the root canals. Normally, a temporary filling is placed, which is further replaced by a permanent filling. Finally it’s necessary to place a crown over the root canal.
